A memorial seminar in honour of Dr. Attati Mpakati was held on Saturday the 23rd March 2019 in Lilongwe, Malawi under the theme: “Malawians In the Struggle for Democracy and Human Rights in Malawi: The Life & Times of Dr. Attati Mpakati.”
Those who worked closely with Dr. Attati Mpakati in LESOMA as leaders (Ambassador Kapote Mwakasungura and Mr. Frank Jiya); LESOMA students and youth cadres/organisers/veterans, representatives from civil society organizations, academia, political parties, faith based organisations attended this memorial seminar.
Also in attendance were two former ministers in Dr. Bakili Muluzi’s first cabinet namely: Rolph Patel and Catherine Chipembere who is a widow of Masauko Chipembere.
